Part-time Finance Assistant

Five Points Group in Hackney, East London, is recruiting for a part-time Finance Assistant.

We are a passionate and independently owned Craft Brewery, with a commitment to quality, provenance and the community.

Our new Finance Assistant will join our awesome, growing team as the company expands.

You will report to the Head of Finance.

About the Role:
• Location – Hackney, East London
• 20 hours per week – Flexible days and hours
• Salary – £12,000 per annum (based on 20 hours per week)
• Successful candidates will be expected to do some paid overtime including holiday cover.
• There is the potential for this role to eventually become full-time in due course, subject to growth
of the role and candidate’s availability.

Key Duties:
• Process Accounts Payable including sending invoices to relevant account managers for approval
and ensuring they are approved and processed in a timely manner.
• Process credit card and staff expense transactions.
• Manage supplier and customer relationships and respond to queries.
• Reconcile bank statements across the Group of companies.
• Process Accounts Receivable and send customer statements
• Assist with managing and collecting debts from company debtors. Chase outstanding debts by
telephone, email and post.

• Assist the finance team through the month-end process.
• Assist with preparing payment runs.
• Ad hoc duties and reporting as required

Skills & Qualifications:
• Previous finance administration experience with good numeracy skills desirable
• Ability to work quickly and accurately, with excellent attention to detail
• Intermediate level of Excel knowledge is desirable
• Excellent organisation and administration skills
• Excellent communication skills on the phone, face to face and in writing
• The ability to plan and prioritise your own work to meet deadlines
• An energetic, flexible and proactive approach with the ability to work both
independently and co-operatively within a team
• Studying towards AAT / CIMA / ACCA qualification desirable, but not essential
• Knowledge of Xero Accounting systems desirable, but not essential
• Available to work in the UK without restriction.
