Pembury Tavern General Manager – CLOSED

The Pembury Tavern is a much loved East London institution, and we are recruiting for a General Manager to take the reins of our brilliant pub.

This role would suit either an experienced General Manager, or an enthusiastic and capable Assistant Manager looking to step up to their first General Manager role.

This is an opportunity for you to really make your mark and to translate your love of hospitality, great beer and food into driving forward the success and popularity of this award-winning venue.

We are committed to a friendly, welcoming and accessible hospitality space, which showcases both our own Five Points beers. a wide range of independently owned drinks producers and suppliers, and the acclaimed ACE Pizza kitchen.

Coming off the back of our recent “Community Pub Of The Year” award, we want to continue to maintain our commitment to our local community and to our staff. We are a London Living Wage employer and all staff are entitled to participate in our employee share ownership scheme from Day 1.

You will work with a supportive and creative team of owners, staff and partner food operators (ACE Pizza). We showcase The Five Points Brewing Company beers and also a wide range of interesting and independent British breweries and other drinks producers and suppliers.

You will be responsible for all aspects of operating the pub, including running shifts, leading the team, welcoming guests, recruiting staff, taking stocking decisions, maintaining relationships with our awesome suppliers, and with outside organisations and agencies. You will play a key role in marketing and event programming.
