Head Brewer Max's Tour de Suisse

Head Brewer Max's Tour de Suisse

Our Head Brewer Max is off to his native Switzerland this week to judge at the Brau Und Rauch Bier Contest and to take part in three different collaboration brews!

Max will be collaborating with Brasserie du Château in his hometown of Lausanne to brew a version of our Five Points Railway Porter with German ingredients and Golding hops from Hukins Hops. This will be a fantastic collaboration with their Head Brewer Mathi on their traditional English brewhouse.

Also in Lausanne is Brasserie de l'Improbable, a modern Swiss brewery with whom Max will brew a British IPA using Ernest and Cascade from Hukins Hops.

Finally, Max will do a collaboration with Brasserie du Lance-Pierre, which is a brewery he previously spent time at before taking the London beer scene by storm.

We wish Max a safe trip on his travels in Lausanne and beyond, and if you find yourself in the Alps, check out these breweries for their forthcoming collaborations!

The Five Points Green Hop 2025!

Green hop beers trace their roots to the hop-growing counties of England, where brewers eagerly awaited the annual harvest to seize the opportunity to brew with undried, fresh hops. This method imparts an aromatic, grassy freshness and a vibrant, resinous character that dried hops simply can't replicate. Read more about the Five Points Green Hop beer for 2025 here!
