We are currently recruiting for a Lead Packing Operator to work within our packaging team based at our brewery in Hackney, East London. The role will report to the Packaging and Maintenance Manager.

Package our beer into keg, cask, bottle and can
Prepare the bottling, canning and kegging lines for production at the start of each shift
Run all machines throughout shifts
Oversee, instruct and train, where necessary, all packaging staff
End of shift shut-down, CIP and sterilisation of all packaging lines
Co-ordinate with the team to keep lines running through breaks as required
Complete all appropriate production documentation, record keeping and sampling
Basic maintenance of the packaging equipment
Correct handling of lines and sanitation of hoses & fittings
Follow SOP (standard operating procedures) to the satisfaction of the Packaging Manager & Head Brewer
Ensure that packaging is of highest quality standards in terms of both quality and appearance, including meeting the company commercial standards
In conjunction with the Packaging Manager improve line efficiencies and reduce beer losses
Liaise with warehouse staff about stock coming off the packaging lines and organising the storage of both packaged stock and dry packaging materials
Use of counterbalance Fork Lift Truck for loading and unloading (training will be provided)
Ensure safety, housekeeping and quality standards and procedures are adhered to at all times. You must ensure your safety and the safety of others during the course of your duties
Cleaning and general housekeeping; you must maintain a clean environment for the production of beer, and ensure that the brewery assistants do their part
To comply with all food hygiene and safety regulations required in food production facilities.
