International Women's Collab Brew Day 2024

On Friday, the 8th of March, we welcomed women from our local community to brew a beer with us that will help raise funds for this year's IWD charity, WISH. In addition to enthusiastic beer drinkers, we welcomed folks from other local breweries such as Coalition, Hackney Brewery, Signature Brew, Pressure Drop and Orbit Beers, and from other areas of the beer industry.

Alongside our two Shift Lead Brewers Alana and Laura, we brewed a peach and lychee kettle sour that will be called Just Peachee.

In addition to brewing the beer, we also enjoyed an interesting and informative talk from beer historian and author of The Devil's In The Draught Lines Dr. Christina Wade, who discussed how she found herself writing about beer history, and touched on some points she raises in her book.

We also heard from Kelly and Emma of WISH, who shared with us information about the charity's work providing mental health support and counselling services for under-served women.
